So here we go... I just recently got back from a whirlwind "Yoga
for Regular Guys" book tour which actually took me from Los
Angeles to Atlanta to Tampa (where I got to watch the Bears/Bucs
game from the field with my boys Murph the Surf, Smokey, Rich and
Bam Bam Bigelow).

My
buddy, Derrick Brooks #55 who signed my field pass Diamond Cutter
4 Life and has been throwing up the Diamond Sign since 1997. Unlike
Larry Johnson from the Kanas City Chiefs who throws it up for Jay-Z,
it's the Diamond Cutter... After the game, Murph, Smokey and I got
to have dinner with Derrick and his son Decalon. At dinner, Derrick
said the next three games would be great for the team and would help
them bond coming off a tough loss against the bears. I love his positive
attitude and he was right since now they are 2 - 0 on the road since
that game. I also got to go by and see my buddy Brian Urlacher in
the locker room before dinner with Brooks. Talk about two studs...
Damn!
From there, Smokey and I left for Ft. Myers, Florida to kick off
the YRG book tour. There was a great turnout and we sold out of books.
Smokey and I hit the P.R. trail early that morning and ended with
a Norma Jean's/Elations Reunion Extravaganza. Back in Ft. Myers,
I used to run nightclubs and everyone came out for the reunion party...
it was great seeing all my old friends...

The
next morning, I was back in the air and on my way back to Atlanta,
then off to L.A. for 10 hours and then on to Sacramento in the morning.
I turned around that night, flew back to L.A. The next morning caught
a 6am flight to NYC with my girl Angella where we were met by main
man Smokey and his girl Cathy. Angella has never been to NYC before
so we did all the tourist traps from Rockefeller Center Christmas
Tree to the Carnegie Deli and it was great... When I walked in to
the Deli... Chuck (the head guy) said, "Hey, DDP, want to sit
next to your picture?" The Deli has a picture of every celeb
on the planet and it was packed. I said, "No bro that's OK,
we'll sit wherever you can find room for us."Chuck got us a
table NY style to the head of the line immediately. As Smokey and
I were shooting the $hit about when he won a trip to the Carnegie
Deli when he was a DJ on an Ohio radio show, he looks up and in the
far right hand corner and says, "Holy sh*t Dali, you're not
going to believe this. There's my picture way up there in the corner." I'm
not kidding. Way up in the back corner was a picture of Smokey 12
years ago as a radio jock with his partner... Jeff somebody... On
the way out, we took a picture next to mine since it was at eye level.
